LIH utilizes the clinical application of Neurologic Music Therapy interventions to target person-centered treatment planning. LIH’s vision is to expand access to specialized services to individuals across the Driftless area. Thus, travel and transitions within the workday can be expected.
Primary responsibilities and duties of the full-time music therapy position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitate recurring individual and small group services to the primary caseload (typically weekly frequency). In addition, the music therapist will independently book reschedule visits, provide coverage as a sub-MT (when clinically appropriate), co-treat, attend team meetings, or be prepared for other team-based tasks.
  • Ethically report client progress, billing units, and other service information within a web-based client management system to support all services provided.
  • Demonstrate team cohesion through active collaboration, share ideas, assist in reschedules/scheduling needs, and work in an environment supportive of change and growth.
  • Coordinate with client care teams to foster a wraparound/team-based service delivery approach. This position includes attending service planning meetings and requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attend supervision and professional development opportunities to support clinical and interpersonal skill development.
