Description:
In this CMTE, participants will explore practical strategies for ethical, effective advocacy and audience-centered communication.
Participants will learn to identify stakeholder priorities, recognize assumptions and gaps in understanding, translate professional language, adapt talking points, and make appropriate advocacy requests. Through interactive activities and role-play, participants will practice navigating questions, concerns, and differing perspectives while maintaining authenticity and professionalism. Participants will leave with a practical framework for preparing and engaging in advocacy conversations on behalf of music therapy. There are no prerequisites required for this course.
